SEMI-PRECIOUS STONES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

GemStone Luxury

SPANISH MARBLE GROUP

PRESENTS THE COLLECTION

ABOUT

Each of the semi-precious stones found in the GemStone Luxury Collection bears a unique and fascinating history; and now you too can be part of it.

All of these products are carefully handcrafted using semi-precious stones, fossilised materials and very pure quartz to obtain a harmonious combination of strikingly beautiful natural elements. The excellent characteristics of the semiprecious stones give the final product outstanding physical features. Some of the colours in the collection can be back-litghted to enhance their luminosity and uniqueness.

These are slabs made from semiprecious materials such as amethysts, very pure quartz and petrified wood which are fused together using high quality epoxy resin, and then calibrated and polished.

SEMI-PRECIOUS STONES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

The semi-precious stones used in the GemStone Luxury Collection come from all over the globe, including Africa, South America, America, Australia and North America.

These stones are traditionally used in jewellery or as ornamental elements.

GENUINESS

   GemStone uses real semi-precious stones.

Each slab has an ASP (Authentic Semi-Precious Stone) certificate of authenticity which identifies it and ensures product traceability. The product also comes with insurance which means it can be replaced in the event of breakage.

That is, the quality and value of this product is superior to that of other existing products on the market. These other products are frequently manufactured by combining semi-precious stones with other materials. At first glance the differences may not be seen, but after closer scrutiny the differences are obvious.

 FASCINATING...

HIGH QUALITY FEATURES

All semi-precious stones are resistant to stains as well as scratches and heat.

Their physical properties are equal to, if not better than, those seen in granite. In fact, manufacturing methods do not differ too much from those used in the production of granite slabs.

The GemStone Luxury Collection stones have a hardness of between 7 and 9 on the Moh's scale of hardness; whilst granite has a hardness of between 5 and 7.

MATERIALS

BECAUSE WE LOVE WHAT WE DO

The process of GemStone Luxury elaboration consists of the following steps:

GemStone Luxury slabs are handcrafted. The semi-precious stones are extracted, selected for their size and quality and prepared for the cutting process.

MANUFACTURE

Classified by Size

The pieces are then selected and specially cut in sizes suited to highlight the beauty and quality of each stone. Once they’ve been cut and polished, the pieces are selected and classified by size.

Handcrafted Manufacture

The next step involves the arrangement of the pieces. This process is completely handcrafted; that is, the pieces are arranged manually. The idea is to maximise the space and to create only the smallest of gaps between stones which will later be filled by resin and fused together. Expert artisans fill in the remaining spaces with semi-precious stones of smaller sizes in order to ensure that the resulting gap is as small as possible.

Calibration and Cutting

Once this painstaking work in arranging and filling is complete, the slab undergoes quality control processes that ensure homogeneity, mineral grade and slab design.

The slab is then taken to the firing, calibration and cutting area where the final slab dimensions are obtained.

Quality Control

Once they are polished, they are passed on to quality control where the semi-precious stones are examined once more, as is the final design and quality of the slabs.
